I’ve been going to Calibration Chiropractic for years. An old injury started acting up to the point I was having to take pain relievers every day. I used the Shockwave treatment and after the very first treatment it was noticeable better. I’m no longer on pain medication after all my treatments. My body movement has also improved. I go every week to keep my senior body functioning properly!

Amazing. I started 4 weeks ago with frozen shoulder. I could barely lift my arm without pain. My doctor wanted to do shots or surgery. In one week I was able to sleep at night without pain and in four weeks able to move my arm all around with no pain. They are amazing. Great staff, very professional, caring and listen to your concerns. They are the best!

    Does This Sound Like You?

Dizziness can feel different from person to person. For some people, it feels like spinning. For others, it feels like floating, swaying, lightheadedness, imbalance, brain fog, or feeling disoriented in busy environments.

You may be a good fit for a dizziness evaluation if you are dealing with:

    • Vertigo or spinning sensations
    • Feeling off-balance, unsteady, or like you are floating
    • Dizziness when rolling over in bed, looking up, or bending down
    • Lightheadedness when standing up
    • Nausea or motion sensitivity
    • Dizziness in grocery stores, crowds, traffic, or visually busy places
    • Screen sensitivity or trouble scrolling
    • Blurry vision, eye strain, or trouble focusing
    • Headaches, migraines, or head pressure with dizziness
    • Neck pain or stiffness that seems connected to symptoms
    • Brain fog, fatigue, or reduced confidence with movement
    • Avoiding driving, workouts, errands, stairs, or social plans because of dizziness

You Do Not Have to Keep Guessing

Dizziness can quietly shrink your life.

You may start avoiding grocery stores because the aisles feel overwhelming. You may stop working out because movement brings symptoms back. You may drive less, move more cautiously, or feel anxious because your body no longer feels predictable.

And one of the most frustrating parts? You may have already been told to “just wait,” “drink more water,” “rest,” or “it is probably just your inner ear.”

Sometimes dizziness is connected to the inner ear. But it can also involve your vision, balance system, neck, migraine patterns, blood pressure regulation, concussion history, or how your brain is processing motion.

At Calibration Brain & Body, we take the time to figure out what kind of dizziness you are experiencing, what triggers it, and which systems need to be addressed.

Get clear answers about your dizziness.

    Why Dizziness Is Often Misunderstood

Dizziness is a symptom, not a diagnosis. That means the word “dizzy” does not tell the full story. Effective care starts by understanding what your dizziness feels like, when it happens, what brings it on, and what systems may be contributing.

    Common dizziness drivers may include:

    BPPV or Positional Vertigo

Brief spinning triggered by rolling over, looking up, bending down, or changing head position.

    Vestibular System Dysfunction

Inner ear or balance pathway issues that can affect gaze stability, motion tolerance, and balance.

    Visual-Vestibular Mismatch

When your eyes, brain, and balance system are not coordinating well, busy places, screens, driving, or scrolling may trigger symptoms.

    Vestibular Migraine

Dizziness or vertigo connected to migraine biology, sometimes even without a major headache.

    PPPD-Like Patterns

Persistent dizziness or unsteadiness that is often worse upright, with motion, or in visually complex environments.

    A More Complete Dizziness Assessment

No two dizziness cases are exactly the same. Your first visit is designed to understand what “dizzy” means for you, what triggers your symptoms, and which systems may be involved.

    Your dizziness evaluation may include:

    • A detailed history of your symptoms, triggers, timing, and goals
    • Positional testing for BPPV
    • Eye movement and visual tracking assessment
    • Head and eye coordination testing
    • Balance and gait assessment
    • Cervical spine (neck) function evaluation
    • Orthostatic screening when dizziness is standing-related
    • Neurological screening to determine when referral is appropriate
    • Care coordination with ENT, audiology, neurology, primary care, or other providers when needed

The goal is not just to label your dizziness. The goal is to understand what is driving it, what needs to be ruled out, and what kind of care plan makes the most sense for your body.

Is This the Right Fit for You?

Calibration Brain & Body may be a good fit if:

    • Your dizziness has lasted longer than expected
    • You feel off-balance, lightheaded, foggy, or motion-sensitive
    • You feel worse in grocery stores, crowds, traffic, or busy environments
    • You avoid driving, workouts, errands, stairs, or social events
    • You have dizziness with headaches, migraines, neck pain, or screen sensitivity
    • You were told it is “just vertigo,” but you still do not feel better
    • You want a more detailed assessment before guessing at treatment
    • You need help rebuilding confidence with movement

This may not be the right first step if your dizziness is:

    • sudden and/or severe
    • vomiting
    • comes with stroke-like symptoms
    • fainting
    • chest pain
    • sudden and/or severe headache
    • new double vision
    • weakness, numbness, or trouble speaking
    • *In those cases, seek urgent medical care first.

    Dizziness Treatment FAQs

What is the difference between dizziness and vertigo?

Vertigo usually feels like spinning, either the room is spinning or you feel like you are moving. Dizziness is a broader term that can include lightheadedness, imbalance, floating, motion sensitivity, or disorientation. The difference matters because it helps guide the right evaluation and treatment plan.

How do I know if it is BPPV?

BPPV often causes brief spinning triggered by rolling over in bed, looking up, bending down, or quick head movements. A positional exam can help confirm whether BPPV is present and which inner ear canal may be involved.

    Does the Epley maneuver work?

Repositioning maneuvers like the Epley maneuver can be helpful for confirmed BPPV, but the correct technique and canal matter. If the wrong maneuver is used, symptoms can worsen or the real driver can be missed.

Why do grocery stores, scrolling, or busy places make me dizzy?

Busy visual environments can overwhelm your system when the brain, eyes, and vestibular system are not coordinating well. This can happen with visual motion sensitivity, PPPD-like patterns, vestibular issues, or post-concussion dizziness.

Can migraines cause dizziness without a major headache?

Yes. Vestibular migraine can cause dizziness or vertigo with or without significant head pain. A careful history helps determine whether migraine biology may be part of your symptom pattern.

What if I get dizzy when I stand up?

Standing-related lightheadedness can be connected to blood pressure regulation, hydration, medication effects, POTS-like patterns, or other medical factors. This is why orthostatic screening and care coordination may be important.

How long does dizziness treatment take?

It depends on what is driving your dizziness, how long symptoms have been present, and how your system responds to care. Some cases improve in a few weeks, while persistent or layered cases may need a more progressive plan.

Is vestibular therapy safe if I get dizzy easily?

Yes, when it is properly dosed. The goal is not to push you into intense symptoms. The goal is to apply the right level of input so your system can adapt without becoming overloaded.

When should I go to the ER for dizziness?

Seek urgent care if dizziness comes with new weakness, facial drooping, numbness, trouble speaking, severe trouble walking, fainting, chest pain, sudden severe headache, new double vision, or sudden severe symptoms.

    Ready to Feel Steady Again?

You do not have to keep guessing why you feel dizzy, off-balance, lightheaded, or disconnected from your body.

If dizziness is affecting your driving, work, workouts, errands, screens, confidence, or daily life, the next step is a detailed evaluation that looks at the systems behind your symptoms.

At Calibration Brain & Body in Mansfield, TX, your first step is a complimentary consultation focused on your symptoms, your goals, and whether this approach is the right fit for you.
