Advanced Vertigo Care in Mansfield: Dizziness Is More Than a Nuisance… Let Us Help You Reclaim the Stability Your Life Deserves
What Causes Dizziness?
Dizziness can feel like the world is spinning, tilting, or pulling away from you and it often comes without warning. For some, it’s a fleeting sensation; for others, it’s a daily battle that disrupts work, sleep, and even basic movement. What many people don’t realize is that dizziness isn’t a diagnosis. It is a symptom, and its true cause can lie deep within the brain, vestibular system, spine, or even immune system.
At Calibration Brain and Body in Mansfield, we specialize in getting to the root of dizziness; not just managing the symptoms. Our team is trained to recognize and treat a wide range of causes, including:
- BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo): Sudden dizziness triggered by head movements, often due to displaced crystals in the inner ear.
- Cervicogenic Dizziness: Dizziness that stems from dysfunction in the neck and cervical spine, often overlooked in standard evaluations.
- Vestibular Hypofunction: Underperformance of the balance centers in the inner ear, leading to feelings of unsteadiness or disorientation.
- Cerebellar Hypofunction: When the cerebellum—the part of the brain responsible for balance and coordination—is not processing movement properly.
- PPPD (Persistent Postural-Perceptual Dizziness): Chronic dizziness often triggered by standing or motion, commonly following an illness, injury, or emotional stressor.
- Post-Infectious or Viral Dizziness: Lingering vestibular issues after viral infections, including post-COVID-related cases.
- Comorbidities: Conditions like migraines, concussion, anxiety, autoimmune disorders, or TMJ dysfunction can complicate and intensify dizziness symptoms.
How We Identify the Cause of Your Dizziness
At Calibration Brain and Body in Mansfield, we take dizziness seriously and we never rely on guesswork. Our comprehensive evaluation helps us pinpoint the root cause using a combination of advanced technology and clinical expertise:
- RightEye System Assessment – Your eyes reveal how well your brain is processing movement. We use this non-invasive test to assess brainstem, cerebellar, and vestibular function.
- Balance & Postural Testing – Our computerized system tracks how your body responds to motion and detects hidden vestibular or cerebellar dysfunction.
- Neurological & Structural Exams – We evaluate the brain-body connection and examine the neck to identify cervicogenic contributors.
- Lifestyle Driven History – We take time to understand your daily habits, past illnesses, stressors, and triggers. Because your life story matters.
This whole-person approach allows us to uncover whether your dizziness is neurological, vestibular, mechanical, or a combination and build a plan that truly fits you.

FAQs
Dizziness can have many underlying causes: ranging from inner ear dysfunction (like BPPV or vestibular hypofunction) to cervical spine issues, brainstem or cerebellar imbalance, post-viral complications, or chronic conditions like PPPD. It often involves a mismatch in how your brain, eyes, and body interpret movement and position.
We use advanced tools like RightEye eye-tracking, computerized balance testing, neurological exams, and a thorough lifestyle-focused history to pinpoint whether your dizziness is vestibular, cervicogenic, neurological, or a combination.
Many patients begin to notice improvement in clarity, steadiness, and energy within the first few weeks of care. However, lasting results depend on the root cause, how long symptoms have been present, and how your nervous system responds to treatment.
Yes, many of our patients come to us after months or years of frustration. Our deep-dive approach is often the missing piece in complex or persistent cases. If you’re motivated to get answers and do the work, we’re here to help.
